It was long awaited programme, held on 29 and 30 August 2019 at Social development Center, Ranchi. The main Resource persons were Dr. Fr Jolly Putthanpura – Assistant Executive Director, Caritas India and Mrs. M. Shimrey National – National Coordinator, Catholic Social Teaching, Caritas India
The Chief Guest His Grace Most Rev. Felix Toppo emphasized on the importance and need of the knowledge on Catholic Social Teaching (CST), which is to value every human being and the creation of God. There were 88 participants, including priests, religious nuns, laity, and youths present during the meeting.
Dr. Fr. Jolly shared the knowledge and the information on 4 Basic principles of CST and its auxiliary principles, evangelization mission and the role of Priests, new dimensions of social work etc. The group work helped participants to internalize the understanding on Catholic Social Teaching. Second Day Ms. M. Shimrey took a session on ‘Key Strategic Pillars’ i.e. Empowerment Animation, Dialogue, Volunteerism and Sharing Community.
